All attendees are welcome to a camping/picnic area. There will be two areas, private and friendly. We are doing this to ensure a safe space for anyone wishing to attend but not ready to socialize yet.
Private:
Social Distance conscious area where visitors are not welcome at personal campsites. Those who are using these sites are free to join the common areas and activities. Having a private camp site just ensures that you have a safe space for you to set up your tent etc… that won’t be interrupted.
Friendly:
This camping area is for people who are ok to receive visitor requests. We ask that people in this area not simply run up and visit, but do ask first as a common courtesy. Many people wish to see their friends and are happy to set up their pavilions in the friendly camp site, but we still want everyone to feel safe.
Greetings Good Gentles and Welcome to the Seagirt Summer Fair.
We will be hosting a three day event at Tony’s Sheep Farm in Metchosin from Aug 6 – 8.
We will have fencing, archery, and heavy available. The MiC of heavy and fencing will be bringing paperwork for anyone wishing to jump back into things.
A number of classes are in the works. Sign up will be at Gate.
The site is discreetly damp, so please enjoy yourselves and be courteous.
An Tir Leash Laws in Effect. (Dogs allowed)
At this time there is a fire ban. NO CAMPFIRES. NO SMALL COOKING FIRES. NO BURNING. Propane cooking fires acceptable.
An Tir does not allow us to provide food, however, an Indian food restaurant & a cafe & My Chosen restaurant are a 5 mins drive away.
In light of this, there will be a 1 hour free time for Lunch and for dinner so that people can grab food without missing out on something. I’ve reached out to street vendors around the city so there might also be vendor vehicles beside the site.
This event aims to be a gentle ‘ease back into things’ event.
Thank you,
Juliana Laverick
