The baying of hounds and clashing of arms announce the resumption of a long-awaited conflict: The Barony of Glymm Mere of Thurston, Grays Harbor, and South Mason counties in Washington is proud to announce the return of that most-noble panoply of arms: Honey War! Challenge to opponent(s) to follow. This event includes a war, and thrown weapons and archery championships.

 

This event will open August 12th, 2022 at noon on the Nix Ranch at 220 Nix Road in Chehalis, and while festivities will end August 14th at 2pm, this year offers a unique opportunity: the site will remain open for guests to leave their grand encampments in situ for Autumn War at the same site the following weekend.
If you choose to camp during the week, please be gracious in helping/not interrupting the setup for Autumn War.
The event fee is $35 for overnight adult non-member guests, and $20 for non-member day trippers, with a $5 member discount. Money should not be an obstacle to participation – please contact the event steward if you would like to request (or offer) sponsorship to offset the event fee, or if you need help finding a ride to the event. Youth and children play free.

There are a few rules for the use of this unique site: No smoking on premises outside of designated camp spots, including in private vehicles. Fires in campsites must be propane and off of the ground. Trash must be packed in and packed out. There are two roads in: one has steep muddy sections – this one can be used at any time; one is suitable for RV and large trailer traffic, and is only available between the hours of sunset and 10am. This will be clearly signed as you enter the site from the road. People staying for Autumn War must go through Gate again on Thursday, August 18th at noon.
