This is a Level 1 event.

Join us for the 29th annual Acorn War as we return to the the lovely oak groves in Carlton, OR. We’ll have war scenarios and rapier dueling. Compete for the honor of becoming a Defender in archery, thrown weapons, or youth combat!
We have classes and activities for all ages including an A&S Village, a Saturday night Hafla, and merchant’s row. More information can be found at the Acorn War website.

Meal Information

Free Soup Kitchen: 6:30 on Friday
Tired of setting up camp and don’t have time to cook. Join House Blackhart at the Abbey! (The amphitheater on site)
There is ample seating, lighting, and electrical outlets for crockpots.  Bring a bowl and your silverware and enjoy a warm meal.

Tournament Information

Planned Tournaments at Acorn War XXIX.

  • There will be a Rapier prize tournament on Saturday at 11 AM
  • The position of Archery Defender of Mountain Edge will be determined at a tournament at 11:30 AM
  • Thrown Weapons Defender tournament will be held at 2:00 PM
  • The Armored Youth will be competing for Youth Defender of Mountain Edge on Saturday at 3 PM
  • There will be a Heavy prize tournament on Sunday at 11 AM

Youth and Family Activities

The Event Stewards have lost their Acorns!   We can’t have an Acorn War with Acorns.

The youth are asked to help the Event Stewards and find the lost acorns hidden around site.   Each child
