My lords and ladies, pray attend!

The Shire of Hauksgardðr invites you to join us for a relaxing day at our 13th annual August in the Park event. Share in a potluck feast, fight in the tournament, or just relax in the shade of the big trees if that’s your preference!.

Fees: There is no gate fee…yes, it’s free!

Tournaments:

Potluck: Bring your favorite dish to share. Please remember that some people have food allergies so please label with your ingredients. Bring enough food to feed 10 people or more. Bring your own feast gear and drinks..We will have power available, if you need to bring a crockpot.

Site Information:
Site opens & set up begins at 8 am, site closes at 5 pm.

Directions:
Take your best route to The Dalles, OR. Coming from the east on I-84, take exit 85. From the west on I-84, take exit 84. Both are marked “City Center”. Enter downtown, and turn south on Union street. The park is on your right, between 5th & 7th streets. You can use the parking lot at the state office building to your left.

PLEASE NOTE:
Because of the site change, things are a little different this year. The morning time is basically a demo, and our tourney and potluck will be later in the day. please bring something to demo if you can…or just bring yourself and talk with the public for a bit. We will have the eric set up in the morning if anyone would like to come demo rapier or heavy fighting for the public.

This event is in a public park, so even after the market is done, people will wander in to see what’s going on. Be nice to the public. We like them. 🙂

Bring your own feast gear, drinks and snacks for the day. There are also lots of yummy things to buy at the market! Chairs are also a good idea.

The park has nice, big trees, but if you have period type shade or pop-ups, feel free to bring them.
