Mermaid  Returns

The Shire of
False Isle invites you to come join us in celebrating the Mermaid
returning to the waters.

There will be
Archery, Thrown Weapons, Heavy and Rapier combat!
For Arts and Sciences there will be Best
Seaworthy Craft for the Mermaid to return to the waters (Mermaids:
large- 23cmx8cm, weight 18 gram, small- 15cmx5cm weight 9
gram).

The Sugar Fairy
will attend to Merchant food!

Gate will open at
noon Friday July 6.
Please note this is a new site and
sorry, no dogs permitted by the site owner

Registration: Adults – $20, under 19 no charge.
SCA Members will get a $5 discount. Make cheques payable to The
Shire of False
Isle.

SITE INFO:
12725 Scotch Fir Point Road. Site opens 12 noon on Friday and
closes at 2pm on Sunday. Fires must be above ground and smoking in
designated area only. There is no potable water on site so please
bring your own. There is limited space for RVs (no hookups), so
please contact the autocrat. Merchants are welcome and pay only
their site fee, but must contact the autocrat to reserve a
space.

DIRECTIONS: For all areas except
Vancouver Island, make your best way to Vancouver BC. From
Vancouver BC, take the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale. Drive
approximately 1.5 hours, easy driving time to Earl’s Cove ferry
terminal. Take the ferry to Saltery Bay. Drive approx 11 minutes to
Loubert Road and follow the SCA signs.

Note: There are two ferries to get to
Powell River from Vancouver, but you only pay for one.

 

From the Vancouver Island (Comox) ferry,
go straight off the ferry to Marine Avenue (2 blocks). Turn right
at the light, follow Highway 101 south for about 20 minutes, turn
right at Loubert Road and follow the SCA signs.
