The Shire of Glyn Dwfn would like to invite you all to come
celebrate with us the passing of summer, and to enjoy the bounty of
the harvest season. We will be having a wonderful feast, as well as
competitions to determine our new Rapier Champion and Arts &
Science Champion.

The tournament format for the rapier championship will be a
“bring your best”, double round robin, where each fighter will face
all others before rejoining the line. Two rings per the Existing
Defender and the local leadership in attendance. Top four fighters
(two from each ring) will face off in a best two out of three for
the semi-finals, then the two finalists will fight to three
unanswered blows.

For the A&S championship, contestants will
be required to demonstrate their ability to teach others. This can
be done by offering to teach a class at our Samhain celebration,
submitting a paper explaining how you made
something, or even by sharing a YouTube video where you demonstrate
how to create something or teaching a specific skill. If you are
interested in participating in the Arts & Science competition,
or if you have any questions, please contact us at
