Their Excellencies Grimolfr Griotgardsson and Dezzrianne Draganova
doch’, Hersir and Posadnitsa of Myrgan Wood invite you to a
most historic occasion, Myrgan Wood’s
35^th Anniversary! After six incredible years of
service to the Barony, Principality and Kingdom, Grimolfr and
Dezzriane will step down as rulers of Myrgan Wood. Bear witness as
their Highnesses Kvigr and Svava of behalf of their Majesties
invest the new Baron and Baroness of Myrgan Wood!

 

Join us as we determine the Champions of Sword and Arrow. As Rapier
fighters test their skill against each other and the Arts and
Sciences are displayed and taught. Merriment will be had, feasting,
fighting and celebration abound!

Armoured  Tournament Guidelines

 

 here is the out line for the Myrgan Wood heavy champion
tournament . 




Single Swords shall be no longer than 40 inches.


Great weapons shall not be greater then 72 inches.


Shields will be shoulder to shoulder chin to
crotch.


Round shields shall be no greater then 36 inches


There will only be a total of three striking surfaces per
weapon.


No mados, single handed spears are allowed.




it will be a double eliminations tournament.


Semi finals will be best 2 out 3


Finals will best 3 out 5


Fighters must have a valid fighter card and
membership.


Consorts are strongly recommended.


For those people vying for championship I would like a letter of
intent or permission from the Baron and Baroness of Myrgan Wood or
the Prince and Princess or King and queen(should they be
there).




For those not vying there will be a prize also.


Bye fights will be non-destructive.




Also please limit the amount of visible plastic and sports
logos.

 

Myrgan Wood will be gathering at our Anniversary to find a new
Light Champion.  This years tourney will include Long Bow,
Cross Bow, Thrown Spear, Thrown Knife, and Thrown Axe.  Those
vying for the Championship must compete with all 5 weapons. 
Each weapon will be scored the same as the others with the best
total score winning the Championship.  Participants are
welcome to try all or any of the above listed weapon styles, but to
compete for Champion you must complete in all 5.  If
participants have their own weapons, they may bring them if they
wish.  Weapons will be provided for those who need them.
