The Baronies of Madrone
and Vulcanfeldt send word to the far reaches of this noble
Kingdom:

As the wheel of time turns ever forward, Heirs
to the Sable Thrones must be sought once more. To this end we
invite all An Tirans to converge upon the great Barony of
Vulcanfledt this coming May to compete, inspire or bear witness to
the Crown Tournament of An Tir.  

For your enjoyment and to test your skills we
offer all manner of competitions and entertainments, including the
Crown Tournament, Squires’ and rapier tournaments, archery
competitions and Arts & Sciences displays and
competitions.

for merchants). Closes Sunday at 5:00pm.

Crown
List:

The May Crown tournament will be held in the
traditional An Tir style of double elimination with no weapon
restrictions and standard An Tir shield conventions in
place.

All combatants and consorts are encouraged to
bring banners to the field to enhance the beauty of the lists. Let
the great chivalry of all An Tir shine through!

Pre-registration is now open for entrance into
the Crown Tournament.
It will close on Wednesday, May 14th
at 8pm
.

Pre-registration
is an easy process – simply email Dame Elena, the Kingdom
Lists Minister, at <lists@antir.sca.org> with the following
information:

Fighter

   Fighting title (e.g., Duke,
Countess, Viscount, Sir)

   SCA Name  
/   Modern Name   /   SCA membership
number and expiry date

   Your SCA Branch   /
  If you are a squire, and to whom   /  
The fight practices you attend, up to 3

The memberships and fighting authorization
will be confirmed, and you will receive an email from Lists
containing your pre-registration number as confirmation. Your lists
shield will be pulled for you – all you’ll need to do
on tourney day is to let Lists know you’re
there.

Please let Dame Elena know if you have any
questions. Thanks for making Lists’ job easier, and hopefully,
making it a better tournament for you – saving everyone some
time and pressure on the day of the tournament.

Comfort & Convenience:

Please bring your own drinking/
cooking/ washing water. 
While there is potable water on site, there
are very few spigots and they may be located in the middle of
someone else’s camp. There are several markets in town where you
may purchase water & ice.

We are within city limits.
There is a Safeway about 10 minutes away
.

There are three (3) hotels in
town. 

 

Garbage & Recycling

Large
Garbage containers will be provided by the Site. Both Trash &
Recycling go in these containers to be sorted by Yakima
Waste.  Fire pit ash may NOT go
in the trash, nor be left at site.
You
will be provided with a plastic bag for packing out your fire pit
ash. Thank you in advance.

Pets

Pets are welcome; rigorous
waste patrol is required! Please keep your pet under your
control & care at all times…. either on a leash
(which is attached to a human) or
contained within camp. Please attend to your pets needs, for their
noise may keep thy neighbours from their rest.


Site Rules

Quiet hours are from 10pm until
7am.
We are within the city limits of Toppenish &
must comply with their Noise Ordinances.

We will
comply with any Burn Ban in effect for the area. Until further
notice:
all fires must be a minimum of 12″ (1 foot) above the
grass. Ashes &
other fire leavings are not allowed in the site trash recepticals
& must be packed out
. All attendees will be
provided with a plastic bag for their ashes.

There are
areas on site that are considered “Out of Bounds”
– they are clearly marked. If you are found in these areas you will
be considered to be Trespassing and may be asked to leave
site.

Participants shall not violate any state,
federal or local laws, nor commit any nuisance or damage upon the
premises. Illegal substance use and underage drinking will NOT be
tolerated and are grounds for IMMEDIATE removal from site and
notification of modern authorities.

In regards to marijuana laws, all SCA
participants should follow modern law, both State and Federal. As
it is still illegal under Federal law, marijuana is prohibited at
