Gentles, be welcome!  The Shire of
Danescombe invites you to our annual Tournament of
Roses.

Join us on Saturday February 15^th,
2014, for a day devoted to Honour and Inspiration! The Shire will
host tournaments to determine both Rapier and Armoured Defenders
through their prowess in arms, and the grace and honour of their
inspirations.  Both tournaments will be preceded by a grand
processional, where the fighters will present their inspirations
(and themselves) to the populace.  The winners of the
tournaments will be heralded as Defenders of the Shire, and their
Inspirations will be honoured for their role in the
Defenders’ victories.

The Shire will be offering a light lunch free
of charge to all those who attend the event.

After the tournaments, the Shire will
also host a wondr’ous feast! Join us for an evening of food and
entertainment as we celebrate our new Defenders and share our
hospitality with those who journey from afar.

If you are from out of town and require crash
space, please contact the Event Steward.

Site: the East Kelowna Community
Hall, 2790 East Kelowna Road, in Kelowna, BC. 
Site
opens at 8:30 AM, and closes at midnight.  
Site
fees:  Adults – $15, Youth – $10, Children (8 and under)
– free. There will be a family cap of $60.  Our
Feast is $10 for Adults and Youth.  This is a dry site.
 Dogs are not allowed.

Cheques should be made payable to
the Shire of Danescombe.  NMS fees will
apply.

Heavy
Tournament

This tournament will determine Danescombe’s
Heavy Defender for the next year!  Our current Defender, Sir
Olen, has determined that the format will be either double
elimination, or round robin.  (Pending final numbers the day
of the event.)

Rapier
Tournament

This tournament will determine the Rapier
Defender of Danescombe for the next year!  Our current Rapier
Defender, HL Murdoch, has determined that the format of the
tournament will be double elimination, with each bout being the
best two out of three.   (Tournament format may change,
depending on final numbers on the day of the
event.)

1:00 – Lunch is served

2:30 – Heavy Tournament

6:30 – Dinner to commence

12:00am – Site Closes
