Harvest Feast
September 9-11, 2011
Shire of Bitter End

M’lords and Ladies, Prey attends! The Shire of Bitter End
would welcome one and all to attend Harvest Feast here in the heart
of the glorious principality of Avacal! Bear witness to; or compete
to become one of this fantastic shire’s Champions. The time
is due to unseat those who have been our guides and protectors for
the previous year, our heavy, rapier, archery, A&S, and
Jr/Sr Youth championships are open for all to
compete. Membership, and a declaration of intent
(Letter/Scroll/Rune stick…etc) are required to compete for
championships, and for youth there is parental consent required as
well.
Once the competitions are complete it will be time to feast! This
year’s feast will be prepared by the McNeils and will bless
your palette and fill your belly. Menu will be posted to assorted
lists. There will be a Saturday donation lunch put on, as well as
Sunday morning a donation breakfast.
As soon as the feasting and official businesses are attended to it
will be time to enjoy the fire, sing, tell stories, and be merry.
Let one and all pass the late evening and pre-dawn in the sharing
of the bardic arts.
There is plenty of outdoor camping space available, and some
limited indoor space.
Note that all competitions will be held out of doors, and merchants
will be out of doors, unless the weather is deemed to be unfit for
man or beast.
There will be no bar on site, but a canteen will be available with
non alcoholic beverages and assorted munchies. There will be a
auction held at Harvest all monies rasied will go towards the
griffins nest
The Event Steward kindly asks that all armour bags, sword cases and
bulky feast totes be removed from the hall once they are done being
unloaded.
Site Fees:
12yrs and under-free
12-17 $20.00, NMS does not apply
18+ $25.00
Site fee only, no feast (not recommended) $15.00
This includes both site and feasting fees. Remember there will be a
$5.00 Non member surcharge added to non members attending the event
over the age of 18 years. Make Cheques payable to ASCA SHIRE OF
BITTER END. All numbers are in Canadian Dollars.

The Site is the Shady Nook Community Hall, there is no street
address. Site opens Friday at 6 pm and closes Sunday at noon.
Directions:
From the junction of Hwy 11 and Hwy 2 at Red Deer, Turn WEST onto
HWY 11 for 1km to the lights. Turn LEFT at the lights onto Hwy 596
and travel for 6km to Twp283. Turn Left onto Twp 283 and follow to
RR380. Turn RIGHT on RR380 for 1km, hall will be on the RIGHT.
Signs will be posted.

(A&S) Rules

Prize round: 1 entry required, more welcome.
Will win on one entry only. Documentation attempt recommended, not
required.

Youth Round: 1 entry required, no documentation needed. Entrants
encouraged to talk to judges about entry.

Championship Round: 2 entries required, documentation required. 1
entry, entrants choice, will be forfeit to Champion upon their
winning. The more entrants, the better the prize!!
