We are planning to having a Medieval
Village; we hope to have armor and weapon displays, the bread oven
fired, and any other Medieval Displays that may be present to put
up. If you would like to display something, please let us know.

Boar’s Hunt
Boars Hunt 2011/Aquaterra Culinary
Guild Cooking Contest: Not a siege cooking contest:
Participants will be provided a period recipe and all the
ingredients to make it. The challenge is interpreting the
recipe and preparing the best redaction in the time given.
Extra points for period cooking techniques and presentation. The
main ingredient will be pork. There will be a beginner and advanced
category. Pick up your recipe and supplies after Saturday morning
court and before Noon from Baroness Fiamma in the Medieval
Village area. Judging of completed entries begins at 3PM. Be
prepared to taste and judge each other’s entries! Bystanders
will be encouraged to taste and comment.
Other contests will be based on a
“Hunt” theme.
1) “Silk Purse Into A
Sow’s Ear?” Iron Needle challenge. After morning court,
contestants will be given the task to construct a pig out of the
provided materials. Entries will be due by the end of evening
court.
2) Hunting Accessories (weapons,
armour, horns, traps, dog collars etc) – Minimal
documentation is recommended. Judging will take place between 1p-3p
on Saturday.
3) Hunting Garb – Single
item entries are encouraged. Some documentation is recommended.
Judging will take place between 1p-3p on Saturday.
Winning entries will be announce at
closing court on Sunday.

DIRECTIONS:
From I-5 take US-2 towards Wenatchee. Take WA-204 towards Lake
Stevens. Turn Left (North) onto WA-9. Turn right onto WA-92
(East
towards Granite Falls). WA-92 ends in a T-intersection in
Granite
Falls – turn left onto Mountain Loop Hwy. The site
entrance
is 4.5 miles from this point and will be on your left. Watch
for
SCA signs.
SITE INFO: All SCA and modern laws apply. The site is
discreetly wet
(period containers only please). Pets must be leashed at all
times.
No braisers ashes in the garbage cans. Please do not leave trash
in
the fire puts. All trash/recycling must be packed out. RV/Power
Hook-Ups fees are made payable directly to the Masons.
