Greetings One and
All

Welcome to the Barony of Seagirt’s
Demonstration of what we are all
about.

Time: 12 -4 for the
Demo
Demo Location: Rudd Park on 3259 Irma Street

Cost = FREE

Remember those Knights in Shining Armour as a youth, Well,
Come out and see Full Armoured Combat in action and talk to
us about what it entails to be there yourself. Come out and
see a tournament in grand display. Cheer for your favourite
fighter. Give him a favour of a ribbon to show your support.

Not into Full Armoured Knights and wish to try something
Lighter?? How about being a Fencer, skilled in slight
movements and quick footwork, and a thinner Blade but just as
quick and deadly as the Full Armoured Combatants.

Feel that Fighting is not your thing; well join us for the
Lighter events such as Song and Dance. There will be displays
throughout the day as well as a booth where you may learn to
dance a few dances, in preparation for the Mask ball in the
Evening. The Group also covers the Aspects of Belly dance,
though I am uncertain as to whether any will be arriving this
day. WE have a variety of Musicians within our Kingdom, join
them around a bardic circle at events and sing along.

There is also, what we call Arts and Sciences, these are our
Artisans, who assist in things throughout our Barony,
covering pretty much anything that is crafted; Sewing,
Embroidery, Leather making, Black work, Calligraphy, Garb
Making. There are competitions to enter with such things if
you have the competitive edge.

Still Searching, Well try your hand at Archery, though Not at
this Demo. ( grins ) We do value the public after all. Come
talk to those at the booth and find out more about that
aspect of our group.

What about games? Do you like Chess? We have that, as well as
a variety of other Period medieval games. Come talk to our
games master at his booth.

What to do with the Children through all this, Well, We have
Children’s activities to keep them amused here as well
as at events. There is also what we call Youth Combat for
those who are not quite old enough o fight in the Full
Armoured combat, but want to start early. Our group is very
family oriented.

Feasting, We do that as well, but alas, not at this days
event, but food merchants should be available (Still in the
works with Permits and such )

Have Extra money to spend? We have Merchants at our events,
selling things that are within the time period, their crafts
and handiwork. See how skilled those within our Kingdom truly
are. I believe we will have one Leather maker showing his
wares, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Greetings one and
all

Welcome to the Barony of Seagirts Masque
Ball

Time: Masque Ball 530
to 11
Ball Location: In the Hall located next to the park on 3281
Harriet Street.

Cost = 10 Dollars at the
door.

“Hear ye, Hear ye “calls the herald.

“Come one, come all, to a Masked Ball “he smiles
at the reaction

“Yes, you heard correctly, a Masked Ball and a Tavern
within the Barony of Seagirt. This means you need should have
a mask yes, but we are a creative society and I am sure we
can rise to the challenge of it for this night of joy and
festivities.  There will be a merchant on site selling
masks for 5 dollars, with supplies that you will have access
to so that you might make them there if you have need.”

Costumes, you ask, It is encouraged of course, but we
understand not all will have them, so come as you are, and
join in the fun. There will be costumes at the door with a
sign out sheet if you wish. Cost is your car keys, or drivers
licence or something that you wish back before the night
closes so that we might get our costumes back.

“It will be held Saturday April 24th, official start
time is 530 pm, and will go to 11 pm. Place will be the
Eastern Star hall at 3281 Harriet street. Price is 10 dollars
at the door.  “

I believe the Tavern will open at about 5:30 pm. There will
be munchies (bread and nuts) upon the tables, but no real
food. Feel free to bring some. If you wish to make it
potluck, that can be done as well.

“Upstairs in the hall, will be the Mask ball.
Downstairs will be a Tavern, run by the lovely Anna Jane,
with game boards, candlelight (oh la la).

“If you have game boards, feel free to bring them along
as well. Perhaps even a competition may be organized by our
lovely games master Rashid.  There will be games, during
the intermissions of the dance sets. Join in the fun. “

The Baron and Baroness will hold a small court at 6 pm
(assuming this to still be true)

“The ball will consist of Dance cards, and dances set
in timed blocks. See Schedule below

For those who do not know the dances, there will be 30
minutes of Teaching from 530 to 6 as well as there will be
teaching through out the day at the Demo during the hours of
twelve to four.

Perhaps there will be prizes, yet to be determined.
