    Drop Spindle Workshop, taught by
    Rosamond Winder (Rachel McSweeney)

Supplies fee: $10 (includes a drop spindle and 2 oz. of
    wool fiber)

You will be supported in your exploration of the ancient
art of spinning. We will start our journey with the
introduction of spinning terminology, then jump into
hands-on practice. In your trek you will learn what the
drafting zone is and how to use it to your advantage, how
to make seamless joins when your yarn breaks or you need
to add more fiber, and have a discussion about what to do
with your yarn afterward, whether you want to make a
plied yarn or keep it a single. We will also discuss how
to set the twist and how to skein it.

Class instructors still needed. If you are interested in
teaching a class, please contact HL Meheldis
    von Fulda
