The oriental ambassadors have arrived…

You are invited to join us for our 23rd Irish Feast and Ithra.  Our theme this year is “Invasion from the Orient”.  We are going to be exploring cultures from the other side of the oceans.  We are at a new site this year as well, so double-check the address.

There will be Ithra classes in the morning and afternoon, as well as children’s equestrian, and other exciting activities.  During our evening Potluck Feast there will be bardic competitions for all to partake in.  As always, we will be choosing a King and Queen of Misrule, there will be a subtlety contest, and possibly dancing as well.

Potluck Contribution is divided by modern last name: A-F: Bread and Cheese; G-L: Side Dish/Vegatables; M-S: Main Dishes; T-Z: Deserts/Fruits.

We will have a kitchen this year for final preparations of your dishes.  Please bring a garbage bag to take home any dirty dishes, though there will be a dishwashing sink available for use.  Lunch will be available for a small fee.  Open flame candles are allowed.  Please note this is a DRY SITE!!

We have a class schedule up for the event at the Ithra Website, we have the following classes available: Assisi Embroidery taught by Mistress Arlys o Gordon, Beaded Embroidery taught by The Honorable Lady Magda of Deerhurst, Make a Beaded Bag with Wired Ribbon taught by Lady Amia Turner, Field Heraldry taught by the Honorable Lady Eglentyne Merryweather, Introduction to Chainmail taught by Lord Gerrold Huntington, History of Arms and Armor taught by Master Aleyn the Younger, Introduction to Japanese Classical Dance taught byMiyamoto no Akikonomu, Juggling 101 taught by Dame Arwen Lioncourt, Fingerloop Braiding taught by Alasdar Conner Drake, and Marionettes in Period taught by Lady Nidda.
