The Shire of Fire Mountain Keep invites you to attend our first
Valiant Gallant Rapier Tournament! Tournament prize is a Gothic Arch
chair. And, back by popular demand, an Armored combat tournament to
commence at twilight.
Other activities include:
Brewing and Vintning Contest!
Annual Ladies' Sheep Toss!
Men's Braemer Throw for he who wishes to awe the ladies!
Bardic Contest on Saturday evening (five minute time limit on
stories, anecdotes, etc.)

Children's events: Young Maiden's Sheep Toss, Youth Braemer Throw,
Treasure Rock Hunt
Pied Piper: 10 am – noon, Saturday

Classes to be offered:
Medieval Oil Lamps, taught by Elonda of Blue Haven: Short overview on
the history of lighting during the period with an emphasis on oil
lamps. lighting and period oils and how to use them. Actual
construction of a period oil lamp with a wickholder. Course fee
includes handout and materials to make one oil lamp. class fee $3.00,
max 12

Calligraphy class, taught by Mahee of Acre, "Write your name in your
persona". Styles of calligraphy specific to the personas that are
requested will be taught. Bring writing utensil and surface for
writing on. Class fee: $2.00

Rapier Basics, taught by Baron Wolfgang von Bremen, Class fee: $1.00
Soap Making, taught by Lady Meheldis. Students will be taken through
the steps to make their own soap.

Basic Mead Making, taught by Kiril, Sunday 10-12 am. Basic history of
mead making; steps for beginning a successful fermentation and
variables affecting flavor profiles. Handouts will be provided. No
class fee; donation only.
Sign up for classes will take place on site.

Site Fee: Adults 16 and over, $7; youth 7-15, $5; children under 7,
free. NMS fee applies; bring your membership card. Make checks
payable to: SCA, Inc. Fire Mountain Keep

Be sure your guests under 18 have a waiver and medical waiver signed
by their parents. There is limited water on site. Animals brought on
site are the owner's responsibility. Pets must be leashed; all waste
to be cleaned up by owner. Fires according to site owner's wishes.
Expect fires to be minimum 18 inches off the ground and enclosed, if
allowed. Please bring appropriate fire containing/prevention tools.
All mundane and kingdom laws STRONGLY in effect. Drugs, underage
drinking and related problems not tolerated.
