isn’t just for heralds! It’s for anyone who wants to learn
more about the medieval period and enrich their experience in
the SCA with historical use of names and armory. You can
learn how to draw your heraldry in an art style to match your
persona, how to create period banners and standards, and much
more! The Shire of Wyewood proudly hosts this annual kingdom
heraldic event, which will feature: Saturday: – 4 tracks of
symposium classes on names, devices, voice heraldry, and
heraldic/scribal arts. Please pre-register for classes to
assure enough space and handouts are available. See website
for pre-registration information. – One track of classes/
activities coordinated by Wyewood’s A&S Officer in which
you can make items using heraldry (yours or branch badges). –
Consult Table available throughout the day. – A tasty lunch
available on site. – A served feast in the evening
(reservations required, see website). – A bardic competition
for performances on a heraldic theme. Sunday: – Wreath Queen
of Arms Roadshow: Final decisions made on An Tir armorial
submissions! – Black Lion meeting: Staff meeting for the An
Tir College of Heralds. All are invited. – Lion’s Blood
Roadshow: See how submissions are processed at the Kingdom
level! We are proud to host our honored guests: Countess
Elisabeth de Rossignol, Laurel Sovereign of Arms Principal
Herald of the SCA, Inc Baroness Jeane Marie Lacroix, Wreath
Queen of Arms Deputy to Laurel, chief herald of armorial
submissions Fees: Site — Adults, $8; Children 10-17, $5, 8
and under free. $3 NMS applies. Food – Lunch, $5;
Feast, $8. Evening feast is by pre-registration only, limit

April 9. Site is DRY. Directions: The following directions
are “generic” directions that will get you there no matter
where you are coming from, but may not be your most direct or
convenient route. Please watch the website for directions
from the south, the east, etc. Take I-5 to where it meets
I-405 south of Seattle. Take I-405 North (to Bellevue). Take
exit 2, Hwy 167 South. Take Hwy 167 to the next exit, which
is for 180th/43th Street/ Valley Medical Center. You will
actually exit to East Valley Road; take a left onto East
Valley and another left onto 43rd/ 180th. You will pass over
the highway again. New Horizon School is on the right as you
go up a steep hill right after passing over the highway.
