Baron Dyon’s Memorial Tournament UPDATED
September 30th through October 2nd, 2005
Come Join
this 3 Day Celebration in the Barony of Wastekeep as we
Gather once again for Sport and Revelry. There will be Rapier
Tournaments, Heavy War Scenarios, and Boffer Fighting as well
as Archery and Thrown Weapons. Merchants will have ample
space to display your talents and wares. We will be Enjoying
Entries in the Baronial Arts and Sciences Championship as
well as a Popular Choice Division. Bring what you have been
working on for the past year and share your creations.
Entertainers come regale us with your talent for the Baronial
Bardic Championship. On Saturday Night there will be a
Potluck Feast followed by Dancing. Feast Donation Breakdown:
The Barony is providing Meat and Butters A-I Desserts or
Bread and Cheese, J-R Fruit and Veggies, S-Z Side Dishes Site
Hours: 12 noon on Friday, September 30th until 2 pm on
Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005. Site Fees: $12 ages 13 and over, $6
ages 6-12, under 6 are free. NMS fee $3. $30 family cap for
weekend or day-trip. Day-tripper $8/$4. Make checks payable
to “Barony of Wastekeep- SCA, Inc.” This is a
large site with plenty of camping room for tents and
trailers. If you want water and electric, there is a
$10/night additional fee for RV’s and $5/night for
tents. Let Autocrat know if you wish to reserve a site.
Showers are next to campground. There will be drumming
allowed until 2am if they promise not to yell or sound their
horns. The area will be designated. Otherwise, quiet time
will be requested at Midnight. No Cannons. Above ground fires
may be allowed according to Fire Marshall at time of event. A
Contest to Create a Favor for a Chivalrous Personage on
Saturday. Guidelines: Created to be worn on a belt or arm or
headband or on the body or clothing. Supplies will be
provided at 10 am from the Pavilion of Verdiana and
Michael…OR Persons may provide their own supplies. Judging
at 2:30pm Saturday in Main Hall Contest Prizes Awarded to
Winners at Court, 6pm, Saturday. To include a rose motif. To
be crafted before 2pm on Saturday and… Presented (2pm) to
milady Verdiana in the Main Hall for judging. Best use of
theme motif “Rose” Most creative use of materials Good
workmanship Heraldic in nature Historic in appearance Reason
for Acknowledgement of Chivalrous Person 2 Categories: Favors
crafted by: Junior set (up to age 13) for Boffers and Honored

Persons Location: Adam’s County Fairgrounds, near
corner of Bench and Reynolds, Othello WA 99344 There is easy
access to the fairgrounds from Hwy 17 which runs between Hwy
395 in the South and I-90 on the North at Moses Lake. Those
from the Yakima direction can come across Hwy 24 to Hwy 26
and from Pullman, across Hwy 26. Follow signage to Adams Co.

water/electric in campground. Here is a basic schedule for
the event at this time. Friday Site opens at Noon on Fri.,
Sept. 30th. Lots of set up and so forth Friday afternoon.

serving from 6pm until it runs out or midnight. 8 pm Opening

10 pm Torchlight Heavy Tourney Saturday 8 am Wake up 9 am
Lists Open for Heavy and Rapier 9 am – 1:30 pm Leave
Entries for A&S Competition and Populace Choice 10 am- 6
pm Thrown Weapons Field will be open as long as the Marshal
is there. 10:30 am Fighting Begins for Heavies, Rose Tourney
for Rapier (have a consort for this one fighters), Archery

Competition After Feast Dancing is available especially if
someone would volunteer to be Dance Master. Ours are out of
