The Barony of Aquaterra is preparing to welcome you to September Crown, September 2 through 5, 2005. Besides a tournament to select the Heirs to the Lion Throne, there will be tournaments for squires, rapier wielders, contests for archers, thrown weapons competitions, equestrian competitions, activities for children, and an Artisans Display for Laurel comment. There is also space set aside for merchants of all types.

The address of the site is the Soler Dairy Farm. We will be using about 35 acres of open pasture backing onto the Stilliguamish river. The river just off site is not suitable for small children. There are water points served by a well available for washing as this water has not been certified safe for human consumption by Snohomish County. You must bring your own potable drinking water.

FIRE NOTICE:
As of August 25, the jurisdictional Fire Marshal for the September Crown site has stated that recreational fires in fire-resistant containers which are a minimum of 18″ above the ground but preferably 24″ above the ground will be allowed during the event. No ground fires will be allowed. Fuel must be seasoned, dry wood, and sparks must be contained. Firepits may not be more than 4′ across, and the flame height of the fire must not exceed 2′ high in order to be in compliance with a recreational fire. Filled water buckets (you must pack your own water for this purpose to the site) or approved fire extinguishers must be in sight and easily accessible at each fire. No open flames will be tolerated within any tent or other temporary membrane structure under any conditions. No unattended open flames will be tolerated. Propane-fueled firepits and torches are acceptable, but not allowed within tents or other temporary membrane structures. The Fire Marshal reserves the right to make unannounced inspection(s) of the site as deemed necessary throughout the duration of the event.

If you plan to have a fire, please be aware that fire ash is not well tolerated by farm animals — injestion will make them sick. Since the site is a working dairy farm and the farmer’s stock will be returned to the pastures when we leave, you must plan to pack out all ash created by your fire. THERE WILL NOT BE A PLACE TO DUMP OR DISPOSE OF ASH ON THE SITE. The dumpster provided for your convenience for other garbage may not be used for ash disposal according to our contract with Waste Management Co.

Also be aware that the fire policy continues to be subject to county-wide burning restrictions as weather conditions evolve and the use of recreational fires may be suspended without prior notice at any time by action of Snohomish County.

Requests for eric space, guild row, and large household space (10 tents or more) must be sent to the autocrat listed below. Merchant reservations will be taken by the Merchantocrats listed below, We need to know the length of frontage and depth of space. Merchanting applications should be postmarked no later than August 19th, 2005.

Site fees: $15 US (non member surcharge of $3 applies), children 6-12 $7 US, children under 6 free. There will be a MUNDANE family cap of $45.

The site opens for merchants only at noon — no exceptions. The site will open for the populace at 3:00 p.m. with no prior admittance. Site closes Monday at 5:00 p.m.
