On Saturday July 9th, Peasants Revel is coming once again to Queen Anne
Hill at Rodgers Park. Pick a village, shout a chant, and join the
revelry and rivalry between Sodbury and Borton-on-Water, our two
favorite peasant villages.
Enjoy a fun day playing games, tossing sheep, and carving turnips in the
park. No meetings. No responsibilities. Not even a site fee and that
means no non-member surcharge either. Just mucking about in the dirt &
having great time!
Arrive at 11:00am. Activities will start at Noon with the traditional
Dressing of the Mawkins, followed by all your favorite peasant games:
Wet Rag on a Stick, Spit in the Bucket, Cabbage Football, Clench a Wench
and many more. There will be prizes awarded for most peasant-like
behavior, best Peasant Garb, best turnip carving, and the Gurning
Champion.

We will be preparing a simple dinner for only $3.00 per person to be
eaten around 5pm, so bring your eating utensils. Bring also your own
favorite beverages, sunscreen, and chairs or picnic blankets. Wear your
garb that doesn’t mind grass stains.

Please remember: this is a one-day event at a city park and alcohol is
not allowed in city parks. Questions, contact Edward the Stuffy (Ed
Waldock) at 206-784-7345.
