Greetings All!
 
It is that time of year again that we think about Lionsdale Winterâ??s Tourney.  This year it will be held in Agassiz at the Agassiz Agricultural and Horticultural Hall.  Much larger then last yearâ??s hall!  This year Archery will have it own area. Yaaaaaaa!  Stay tuned for a map and directions coming soon.
 
We will have lots and lots of room for Merchants, sitting, watching and playing area.  So please come and sell your wares, sit and relax, socialize, work on projects enjoy the Tourney and most of all have fun.
 
We will have someone selling a small lunch during the day.  In the evening we will have a wonderful feast.  This year we will have roasted pig, which, Lionsdale is providing as the main dish.  So please bring a side dish for potluck, salad, vegetables, bread, ect. enough to feed 10 people.
 
This year it has been decided that we will be having the Lionsdale Arts and Science Championship at Winterâ??s Tourney.  Arnarr was our last years Champion and will be hosting the Championship this year. The Championship will be accolade style; entrants are encouraged to enter one item of any medium and period for competition.  Documentation is encouraged, but not needed.  Entries will be displayed for perusal.  Gentles may vote for the best work that they feel should win the Championship. Voting shall be done by Gentles placing a favor (1 dry bean), which, will be provided, in the entrants corresponding box. 
 
We will have a Pied Piper during the day. (not a baby sitting service).
 
Lionsdaleâ??s Lord Pierce Oâ??Brian will run a 9 manâ??s Morris tournament during the evening so bring your boards and come out to play.  Sign up with Pierce during the day for the double-elimination tournament.  For more details please contact Pierce.
 
There will be a Bardic contest for the Brave new Bard.  Dancing and music during the evening.  The site is discreetly dry so please use period containers.
 
Merchant space is free, but pls. Register so that we know how many tables to put out for individuals.  Set up for Merchants is 8:30. 
 
9:00 am – Doors open
10:00 am – Lists open
10:00  – Submissions for A & S Championship must be entered.
11:00 – Heavy fighting
11:00 â?? Archery â?? on going all day so that everyone gets a chance
2:pm  – Rapier
5:30pm â?? set up for Feast
6:00pm â?? feast starts
Bardic and Dancing after Feast!

Directions:
6800 Pioneer Ave. Agassiz, BC
– Just 15mins. from Chilliwack! Follow the SCA signs. Take right exit 135 to Agassiz, drive over the overpass, go straight, over the Agassiz bridge, turn left at the SCA sign at the entrance to Agassiz, drive straight till you get to a stop sign, turn left on Pioneer Ave at the stop sign. The railroad tracks will be on your right hand side as you follow pioneer.  Go straight down past Evergreen drive at the stop sign, (donâ??t forget to stop). The railroad crossing will be on your right, keep on Pioneer until you come to a fork in the road, turn right, follow pioneer road a short way and you will see the hall on the left hand side.
