..Unto those who seek to ascend unto the
Alpine thrones and to the newly extended lands of the Summits does the Shire of Southmarche send warm greetings.
September Coronet will be held on private property nine miles north of highway 140 off Westside Road on Brown Road, near Fort Klamath, Oregon. This is a primitive site located at the base of Grail Lake. Although it is private property we must adhere to Forrest Service Fire Restrictions.
This will mean IF fire danger is high you will need propane stoves for cooking, and no open fires of any kind. The site is wet. Biffy’s and water will be imported for the event. Keep in mind the time of year and prepare for warm days but cool nights (40’s).
Their Alpine Highness’ have set forth that there
will be no thrusting allowed in the tournament. You may use a weapon with a thrusting tip or butt spike on it you just can’t use the tip/spike.
They have also asked that their Barons’ and Baronesses’ and the Summits Defender not participate in the tourney so they can better serve the Principality.
Armour inspection and the Tournament will be at the whim of their Highnesses. The tournament will be followed by the traditional style tourney. Saturday events also include Small activities during the tournament with a scavenger hunt. A Boffer and Whale Bone Tourney will also take place in the afternoon. A Saturday Night Bardic and Torch Light Rapier Tourney are also in store. A Sunday Morning (7:30am)Sunrise Archery Tourney, a Youth “Running of the Gauntlet” and Moot will be on Sunday. If there are other events the populace would like to see happen let us know. Merchants are welcome to sell their wares with a donation to the tourney prize box.
Site opens at 3:00 PM Friday and closes as close to 2:00 PM Sunday as possible.
Site fee is Adults $10 member/$12 non-member
