Border War
August 2-4, 2002
Barony of Wealdsmere
Spokane, WA

If you listen very closely to the winds that whisper over our noble mountains and fields of grass and grain you can hear them… war drums… the sound of marching armies… a horse’s whinny… armor and weapons of war clanking to the rhythm of stomping feet… the call to arms…

“Come all you Artemisians! Fight to protect our lands, our families and comrades!”

“Up your arms An Tir! They march to our borders. Let’s rise so that together we may be mighty in battle!”

Come join us, whether you’re Artemisian or An Tirian, for a weekend of friendly WAR! There are plenty of competitions to try your skills – heavy war, rapier war, The uses of Lavendar Arts & Science competition, archery competition, a Pied Piper treasure hunt, best humorous period song Bardic competition and a number of other small competitions to test your hand. Check your local newsletter for upcoming information. Bumblebee Meadows (same site as last year) is the chosen theatre of war. Site opens at 3 PM on Friday and closes 12 PM on Sunday. It is a scenic, yet primitive site with a picturesque steam (watch smalls). Keep in mind that you will need to pack water.
