The Barony of Seagirt
Silver Whale – Persona Development Competition
June 8, 2002 (event site tba)

Once again the Barony of Seagirt is hosting our annual personna competition.
This year’s Silver Whale will be held in conjunction with our newcomer’s
event, where we endeavor to display the best of ourselves and our efforts to
inspire and encourage the new arrivals to the Society.

This year Silver Whale will be held on June 8 (site tba). The competition is
an opportunity to present an authentic and logical persona you have created
and who could have existed before the year 1650. (This is not to be a
recreation of an historic, fiction, or SCA character). The competition is
open to both men and women.

This is not a competition to win against others, but to accomplish a goal of
presenting a successful piece of slice-of-life theatre. This means bringing
together and presenting everything – from knowledge, bearing and attitude to
props and aids such as food, costume(s), skills and activities needed to
make the persona a whole, living, believable person.

Interested in getting more information? Please contact the co-ordinator,
Lady Tatiana Alexievna by email and an information package and application
form will be forwarded to you. Applications must be received no later than
May 8, 2002 in order to be accepted for this year’s competition.
