NEWCOMER’S SPRING ENCAMPMENT
Canton of Akornebir
May 3-5, 2002

Come learn about the SCA and it’s activities at the 2nd Annual Spring
Newcomer’s Encampment.

Activities planned for this year’s encampment include: Classes on protocol,
medieval spices, beginning manuscript illumination, making bone needles, and
persona development and various arts and science displays and demos.

We will have special activities for smalls (children).

Site fee for campers is $12 per adult (12 years and over). Fee for
children, aged 6 and above is $6. Five and under get in free. Fee includes
basic meals. No adjustment can be made for those who opt to bring their own
food. Camping is by pre-registration this year. Deadline for registration is
April 15, 2002. No refunds will be made after April 20, 2002. Basic meals
are included in fee. Please contact the Autocrat for registration form.

Day fee: $5 Adults and $3 children for children aged 5 and over. If
staying for the feast add $3 for each person, including smalls. Children
aged five and under get in free. Please make checks payable to Canton of
Akornebir, SCA, Inc.

PETS: All dogs staying overnight must be pre-registered with autocrat. Fee
is $2 per dog.

The site is discretely WET. Period containers only please. Potable water is
available on site. Individual fires must be in braziers at least 12 inches
off the ground.

Directions to site: From the west: Make your best way to Hwy 12 and Walla
Walla, WA. Continue on Hwy 12 through Dixie and Waitsburg. Lewis and
Clark Trail State Park is located approx. 28 miles northeast of Walla Walla,
between Waitsburg and Dayton. Watch for the signs.
