Fool’s Feast
Barony of Three Mountains Portland, OR
April 13, 2002

Tricksters, pranksters, jokers, and revelers of all ages, come join the Barony of Three Mountains for its annual Fool’s Feast. Add to the merriment and laughter as we celebrate Spring with games, songs, dance and a succulent feast, followed by a potluck dessert and a subtlety contest.

This year’s event will be held at Russellville Grange, and will open at 3pm. Games will happen throughout the day, both for our younger members, and those just young at heart. Master Esugenas maqqas Moridaci avvi Cremutanni will preside as Gamesmaster. Also, thanks to Baroness Hlutwige, a heraldic parody will be held, with the results to be auctioned off. Proceeds for the auction will go to supporting Three Mountains Gold Key and Herald’s Office.

The feast itself will be served at 6pm, so don’t forget your feast gear and your choice of beverage. The menu will include such delectables as Italian roasted chicken, Saffron Rice, and onion soup. A potluck dessert will follow, with each dish made to serve at least 12 people. Entertainment will occur throughout the feast, including songs, tales, and music.

The subtlety will be in the form of an edible dessert, taking the shape of part of an amusing tale of your choice, which will be shared by the creator of the dessert to our gentle guests. Entrants will be honored for Best Tale, Best Subtlety and Best Presentation. All prizes will be given after the subtlety contest has ended, and the event site will close at 11pm.

We will need volunteers for Set-Up, Gate, Clean-Up, and Kitchen duties. Please contact the autocrat prior to the event to sign up.
