The Aquaterra Archery Championship competition is coming up Saturday, April 6 at the Camino Stanwood Fairgrounds.

The Archery champion of Aquaterra should be able to demonstrate a broad range of archery skills. In addition to impressing the local populace on the target archery range, our champion may be called on to build finely crafted archery supplies, defend the castle walls, or supply the feast with fresh game.

With these diverse skills in mind, this years’ Aquaterra Archery Championship will have six (6) contests. Challengers will have the option of dropping their lowest score or not entering one of the contests. The challenger with the highest average placement from the five (5) contests of their choice will be our next champion.

Following are the 6 parts of the Championship:

a.. Arts and Sciences
b.. IKAC
c.. Royal Round Wand shoot
d.. An Tir Royal Round
e.. Shoot the Wild Animal (timed shoot at various distances at a fox, raccoon, and prairie dog)
f.. A modified IKCAC (Combat arrows shot at the wooden man. Combat arrows and a 30 lb. bow will be available so everyone can participate.)
You do not need to enter the championship to participate in the contests. I encourage everyone to come participate.
