CONTEST AT DAFFODIL For those of you interested in entering,
you should consider that the judges will be interested in
knowing the year, locale, and perhaps class of the garment
you are showing. It helps to have the garment on a model –
either your body or another’s. Be prepared to talk about the
design, the finishing, the details, and show off any special
effort you took in making the garment(s). The judges will be
following the Kingdom judging forms which will mark for:
Authenticity (design and materials), Workmanship (Technical,
fit and fastenings), General Appearance (appearance and
compatibility) Accessories (headwear, footwear &
underwear) Complexity (scope, difficulty & use of diverse
techniques) and Documentation (major aspects & details).
If possible, I will be setting up a consulting table for
those who would like hints about their work without entering
the contest. Mistress Gudrun Brenda.Nicolson@gems4.gov.bc.ca
