Greetings An Tir,
With Kingdom Arts & Sciences and Rapier Championships fast approaching, the Kingdom Seneschal’s office has received questions regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus cases in Washington. The health and safety of our community is of utmost importance and we are working to create an enjoyable event to celebrate the Arts & Sciences and Rapier disciplines.

Kingdom Arts & Sciences and Rapier will take place on March 6-8th at the Red Lion Hotel in Kennewick, WA. We are working with the event team and the site to discuss options for the enhancement of cleaning and sanitization efforts at the event.

Many of us in An Tir can sometimes feel pressure and obligation to attend an event where we have committed to perform specific activities. The event can manage and find alternative solutions if you can’t make it. Please make a conscious decision stay home while you are sick. For event attendees, we can all make every event a healthy and happy environment by following some basic health safety protocols;

  • Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If not available, use hand sanitizer
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cover your mouth/nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing
  • Avoid sharing drinking vessels

The Kingdom of An Tir will continue to monitor the public health messaging from the applicable Departments of Health within the jurisdictions of future events and advise the populace if there are any changes to our events.
