This is a Level 2 event.

Remember when you were new to the SCA? Do you remember how exciting it was to learn everything you could about life in the medieval times, the way they should have been? Now it’s time to relieve the experience at the Canton of Akornebir’s Newcomers’ Event. Or, you can learn more about your new hobby.You can learn about the SCA while spending time with good friends at a beautiful site. You can learn about a variety of topics from fighting heavy or rapier, to making garb and the etiquette of the SCA. Maybe you are just looking for that small intimate event that reminds of you when the SCA was new to you. Join us in the Canton of Akornebir to relax and enjoy our hospitality.

Event fee: $15 per adult. There is a $5 discount for current SCA members. Children aged 17 or younger are free. Please make checks payable to “Canton of Akornebir, SCA, Inc.”
 
Camping Information:
  • There are no reservations required for camping, as there is plenty of space! Street parking available.
  • The city requests no stakes longer than 10″.
  • Water is available on site, flushies are available, no showers. Above ground fires only, 12″, please.
  • There is limited electricity available on site with medical needs a priority. Please bring extension cords.
  • No driving is permitted on the lawn area of the park, except temporarily for unloading.
  • Pets must be on a leash at all times.
  • Curfew is at 10 PM.
  • This event is very discreetly wet-period containers please.
