Glymm Mere’s Yule Feast
December 12, 2015
Come celebrate with the Barony of
Glymm Mere! This year, we travel south to the land of Spain with
its lush olive and orange groves. HE Francisca de Montoya and Lady
Rosalynda Beatriz de Carrasco will delight your palate with the
exotic flavors of this Mediterranean
country!

necklace.

includes a kit of your own.
Come learn the art of creating beautiful Ukrainian Easter
eggs, and some history. There is a much symbolism, tradition and
legend tied into Pysanky. I found it all very interesting and hope
you will, too. You will want to wear close-fitted sleeves, as we
will be working with an open flame candle. You may also want to
bring an apron or wear older clothes. Drips and splashes happen.
Due to the fact that we will be working with open flame, this class
is not appropriate for children. You’ll leave the class with
a decorated egg, a kit so that you can continue making Pysanky and
a bit of knowledge about the history, legends and symbolism used
when creating a Pysanka.

Description: Posament is an embellishment technique found in Birka
using coiled wire formed into knots. We will discuss knot
techniques and you will go home with an instructional booklet
showing you how to create all the period posament that has been
found!
