Arts & Sciences
Championship: (from Our current
Champion)

This year the competition requirements will be
as follows:

1. One physical entry, made by the
entrant.

2. Documentation of the method and process
used to make said physical entry; pictures with the explanation of
the process are HIGHLY encouraged.

3. Research and documentation showing the
entry’s place and method of construction in history – again,
pictures are highly encouraged with the
research.

I know there are people who find the thought
of documentation intimidating, therefore I am going to be holding
classes in basic documentation at Ike Box beginning in September,
exact date and time to be announced at a later date. If you would
be interested in attending, please email me. There is no charge for
the class.

Those who wish to enter this year’s Arts and
Sciences competition need to send in their Letter of Intent to
their Excellencies Peder and Ainslee, myself, and to our Minister
of Arts and Sciences, Elena Marnach no later than October 15th, so
that I may find appropriate judges for the projects to be
submitted.

It has been my pleasure to serve our Barony
and Their Excellencies as Arts and Sciences Champion, and I look
forward to seeing what our creative populace brings forth to show
at Martinmas.

Rapier
Championship:
Let it be known that by these designs and presents that upon this
scroll are set the names of those who have, by their valor and
skill, been proven worthy of the title of Rapier Champion of Terra
Pomaria.
To one that holds this scroll: As you have, by claiming the victory
this day, been deemed the flower of chivalry, proving yourself this
upon the field of honor, join now the company of those champions
who have gone before you.  Let all know that you stand before
Her Excellency, the Baroness of Terra Pomaria, in humble service,
sworn to defend the honor of the Barony, to protect and defend your
Baroness, to uphold the decisions of your Baron and Baroness and
defend and honor all unchampioned Ladies of the Barony.
So let it be, and let yourself always stand forth as a shining
example unto others, and in remembrance and honor of those who have
held this place before you.

At Martinmas the Rapier Champion will be
decided by accolade from the audience. Come cast your lot for the
most flower of chivalry, the quickest kill, the best death, or the
shinning example unto others.

If you
would fight to be Terra Pomaria’s next rapier champion please be a
carded member of the sca and have a current rapier authorization.
Also, a letter of intent would not be out of place. These acan be

Progressive Bear Pit Prize
Tourney:
Combatants start out single sword, winner holds the field, opponent
goes to the end of the line and upgrades offhand weapon. First
Baton, Cape, Buckler, Dagger. Lose with a dagger and you’re
out.

Rose
Tournament:
in which all fights are based on challenges, loser must give a rose
to the consort of the victor’s choosing.
