beautiful Stranded Mermaid site and invites you to come and be part
of  history in the making.

Please note that all fires must be above ground
& smoking is only in designated areas.

Merchants are welcome and will only be charged their site fee, but
must contact the autocrat to reserve a space.

Pets
are welcome,
but MUST be leashed at all times and you are expected to
clean up after them..

Food


There will be food available for purchase from The Sugar Fairy.
Bring your own washable dishes to eat off to reduce garbage.
If you have special food requirements, please contact The Sugar
Fairy .

Individual items are priced by
serving in round dollars: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10.
I will have change for a little while, please no breaking something
bigger than a 20.
All event table d’hôte – 5 meals, snacks, drinks, dessert $40
adult/$30 small. À la carte as available.
Can accommodate some diet restrictions if arranged ahead of
time.
For tiny or fussy eaters I recommend individual items.

Tentative menu
at the cafe.
Friday: supper(if nothing goes wrong with the ferries) chilli with
beef.
Saturday: breakfast- sodium nitrated dead animal, french toast,
blueberry dumplings, hard boiled eggs.
        Elevens – baked
goods.
        Lunch- vegan curry, lips
n snouts(hot dogs), grilled deli meat & cheese sandwiches, soup
if weather is miserable.
        Afternoon tea- baked
goods.
        Supper- pasta &
sauce, taters n neeps, seasonal veggies, rice, italian sausage,
chicken in sauce.
        Evening dessert- pie,
cobbler, trifle.
Sunday:brunch, same as Saturday breakfast and what ever is
leftover.
        Sunday packup drinks and
cookies.
Tea, coffee, pop, hot chocolate, juice when I’m there.

There will be a dish washing station for those that need it.

Kumihimo –
Introduction      
         HL Topher MacKenzie and
HL Taliesin ap Hafgan
Kumihimo, a Japanese form of
braiding, can be used to make any number of embellishments and
accessories from trim to various lacings.  Students will learn
three basic forms of Kumohimo (1) flat (2) round and (3)
square.  Normally done on a Marudai students will be taught to
using a round slotted disk.
Suitable for Ages 10 through adult.  Younger participants are
permitted if accompanied by an adult who can assist with
instruction.
Supplies etc. will be provided by instructors.

Spin-In: Troubleshooting & Spinning Circle

Calling all
spindlers!  Sometimes you just want to sit and spin, so here’s
an oportunity to do so in company.  Bring out your favourite
handspindles; bring that spinning project that never ends. And
bring, too, those spinning projects that just aren’t working, and
together we’ll try to solve problems and sort out issues.
Bring spindles and preferred spinning fibre; bring a seat. 
Optional: bring samples of successes and not-yet.

Handstitching through the
Ages           
      Ciana de’Libri
Learn three
basic stitches that can be used for garments from the bronze age
through to the 16th century and beyond! Learn running stitch, back
stitch, whip (or overcast) stitch and a variety of useful
techniques, hems and seam treatments that can be done using these
stitches. Take home a small sampler with all your stitches and seam
treatments to jog your memory later.
Bring needles, thread and scraps of fabric if they have them,
otherwise they will be provided.

Charter Painting 101

Ever wanted to learn to paint Charters in the SCA but don’t know
how or where to start?  Confused about how to use the
paint?  Frustrated with brush strokes or having trouble
getting that smooth, velevety finish gouache is known for? 
Tired of wasting paint trying to get that perfect purple-y
purple?
This class will cover the basics of charter painting using gouache
paint: tools, Techniques, basic colour theory and paint mixing.
Bring a pen and if you have gouache paints and brushes etc, please
bring them. There will be some loaner tools as well.
Class Length: 2.0 Hours (or more if people just
want to sit and paint…)
