Tots Tourney

2pm to 10pm @ Gardiner Community Center

Come join Druim Doineann at our Harvest Feast & Toys For Tots
Tourney! Another wonderful summer has changed to autumn and it’s
time to gather to celebrate with good friends.

Come to Harvest Feast on Oct 20, 2012 to display your projects,
bring an unwrapped toy (new) for donation, raise a glass, feast on
some delicious food, and enjoy the entertainment as we listen to
bards.

There will be:
     A “Toys For Tots” Tourney;
     Displays of Arts & Sciences (A&S)
recent or works in progress*;
     A contest for “Best Gold Key
Contribution”*;
     Bardic performances;
     The potluck feast;
     and Contests* for “Most Decadent
Dessert”* and “Best Holiday Side
Dish.”* 

*Please let the Event Steward know in advance if your display or
contest entry has “special” or specific needs.

Three contests will be determined by voting with fish rocks: 
“Most Decadent Dessert”; “Best Holiday Side
Dish”; and “Favorite Bardic Performance” (not
favorite bard)

Non-voted awards will include at least these:  “Best
Gold Key Contribution”; “Fledgling Bard”;
“Bardic Encourager’; and the winner of the “Toys
For Tots Tourney”.

Toys For Tots Tourney: The entrance fee for the tourney is at least
one new, unwrapped toy for the Toys For Tots
collection.    Please bring all your weapons and
fighting styles for what we hope will be a fun change up each
round.

All attendees are encouraged to bring Toys For Tots donations as
well.

Bardic:   Either
spoken word or singing performances are
welcome.     There will be three bardic
prizes:
    Favorite Bardic Performance, (not Favorite Bard)
is voted by the populous with Fish Rocks.

    Fledgling Bard, for new bards, to be awarded by
decision rather than voted

    And Bardic Encourager, which is also determined
but not voted-on.

Daytime food & drink:  Coffee & hot water for tea,
warm apple cider, and vegetable soup will be available during the
day.

Feast:  The Shire will provide the beasts:  beef and
turkey.
Potluck contributions will be divided by modern names: A-H –
vegies/fruits; I-Q – breads; and R-Z cheeses & snacks.

Anyone may contribute desserts and/or holiday side dishes for the
contests! The recipes do not have to be period/perioid, just
delicious.
 
Please include a card or sheet with all ingredients listed for all
your potluck and food contest
contributions!

Site:  Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Rd, Sequim,
WA  98382   Open from 2pm to 10pm.  Discreetly
wet.  No flames allowed, so please use your battery-powered
candles.

contribution contest submissions & displays set up

Inspection Open

3 pm     Start of “Toys For Tots
Tourney”

5:30 pm     Food set out

6 pm     Feast

6:30 pm     Gratitudes and Givings of
Thanks   

7 pm     Final voting with fish rocks

8 pm     Prizes and Announcements

9 pm     Clean up
