Come join
Dragon’s Laire for the Second Annual Summer Madness Picnic
and Camping Event!  Again this year, the intent is a low key,
relaxing event, with activities that folks can participate in
– or not!  Whatever you choose!

 Activities for
this fun event include:

·

Archery!  There is plenty of room for more than one range, so
that the more experienced archers can do Royal Rounds, but we can
still have a Bunny Range for those not-so-experienced.

·

Arts & Sciences!  We want to once again do the Siege
A&S!  It was great fun, and we hope to have more
participants this year

·

Marshallette Activities!  Our marshallette will provide some
fun fighting events as desired by those attending.

·

Song!  We had so much singing late into the evening last year
that we’re going to do it again!  The cool evening will
be perfect for a blazing bardic fire.  Songbooks will be made
available for everyone to join in.

·

Dance!  Dance is a lot of fun, come and learn some period
dances.

·

Glow in the dark Bocce!  Woot!

And…there
will be a pot luck feast with the Barony providing the Beast.
HL Theordoric leads his Smokin’ Culinary Team and will
provide us with smoked pork, grilled chicken and sausage.
Everyone bring something to share, following the below
guideline:

  • Last name starts with A-F, bring something
like bread/butter/pickles/olives or other appetizer type
    foods.
  • Last name starts with G-M, bring salad-like,
and dressings.  Examples:  green salad, cucumber salad,
    pasta salad, etc.
  • Last name starts with N-T, bring a side
dish.  Examples: corn, potatoes, vegetable dishes.
  • Last name starts with U-Z,
    Desserts!

Be sure to bring
your dayshade, personal tables and chairs, so we can all sit
together and enjoy a great afternoon feast!

Site
Fees:   You can choose to either daytrip Saturday for the
picnic, or camp the weekend.  Checks should be made payable to
“SCA Inc. – Barony of Dragon’s
Laire”.

  • $15 for the weekend for adults and youths 17
    and older years old

·

Daytrip fee $7 for the day of the picnic for adults and youths 17
and older

·

Free for under 17 years old

·

NMS does not apply for this event.

This is a great
event to bring newcomers to see what Dragon’s Laire is all
about!  If you know someone who is interested in finding out
what the SCA has to offer, bring them along.  And, invite your
friends from other Baronies and Branches.

RVs are
welcome.  There is no electricity or water available, so
please be prepared.

So make your plans
to join your friends for Summer Madness!
