Autumn Gathering IV

Join the Shire of River’s
Bend for a day of friendship

and fun at Autumn Gathering
IV.

There will be a
Gourd (pumpkin) decorating contest. Bring in your best
carved

or decorated
pumpkin, turnip, parsnip …

There will be some
small pumpkins for decoration also

 

Also there will be a
Subtlety contest with an Autumn Theme

 

But wait there is
more

HL Gerald
de’Huntington will run a Thrown weapons tournament, as long
as the rain is cooperating, there will be a beanbag throwing
contest for the young ones

 

 

Also the Accademia will have
classes available  Registration deadline is Nov
15

 The General decorating
theme for this year is Gourds,

as along with turnips,
Gourds were the first “Jack O’lanterns”

We will have tables set up
for sewing, scribal, games, heraldry, and children’s
activities.

Also the Accademia will have
classes available

For your entertainment the
4th Annual Chess Tournament will be conducted

and we will also have a
Checkers Tournament for the young ones

who do not wish to
participate in the Chess Tourney.

This is an excellent day to
bring your ‘Unfinished Projects’

– especially the ones which
have not seen the light of day for a while.

Additionally, there is
plenty of room outside if the Heavy Fighters

and Rapiers Fighters would
like to polish their skills.   Maybe some Thrown
weapons?????

Site fees:

There is no site fee for this
event

Meals:

Lunch will be available for
a donation of $3.00.

Dinner will be a potluck
feast. Please bring a dish according to your mundane last
name.

It is requested the members
of the Shire please bring a main or secondary dish.

The Shire will also provide
bread. If you are unsure what to bring, then please bring an
item that you like.

A-I: Main Dish

S-Z: Fruit / Dessert

Site Informtion:

Please feel free to bring
candles for your table setting, as open flames are allowed at
this site. This is a dry site.

Smoking in designated
outside areas only.
