Summits June Investiture and Defenders Tournament
June 20-22, 2008
Shire of Coeur du Val

The Coronets of the Summits lie waiting to grace the heads of
the Tanist and ban-Tanist. The war fields of the Summits are
ready for a new Defender
to claim victory upon them.
The Shire of Coeur du Val happily invites all gentles to
witness the final court of Prinz Berek and Prinzessin Liesel,
and investiture of Their Heirs, Gustav Beiskaldarazi and
Sofia Matriani della Tempesta, as the summer’s solstice
falls upon us.

Merchants and eric space reservations: please contact the
autocrat before June 10.

Rapier Tournament in the French
Masters style: Each fighter holds the field against
the rest of the List with the weapon combination of their
choice. Accolade: Ribbons are awarded by the populace in
three categories: RED – killing well; BLACK – dying well;
PURPLE – panache.    Fighter with the most ribbons total wins.
Alternatively (time permitting) the top two fighters will
face each other in a ‘Ribbon-Off.’ They start over with no
ribbons and face each other for three passes, changing
weapons each pass. New ribbons are awarded between each pass
by the populace. The fighter with the most ribbons
wins.

Artists Reception:   In
honour of the Investiture of Sofia and Gustav, please join us
at VASA’s pavilions on the “eric” for an Artists’
Reception and the Rampant Squirrel Encampment for a
celebration and social.    
   Art Collectors from the Principality of the
Summits have searched the southern-most lands of our
fair Kingdom to bring together Artists, Craftsmen
and Alchemists for an evening reception celebrating the
Arts and Sciences.  These “Artists in Residence”
shall present a Showcase of their skills, abilities and
beautifully handcrafted items for your consideration and
enjoyment. Delicacies and Drinkables will be
served.    
   Hosted by HL VASA d’Este, MoAS and Lord
Brizio, A & S Champion, Principality of the Summits.
