Champions/Newcomers                                                            Wealdsmere

April 27 – 29, 2007                                                                  Davenport

 

The Baron and Baroness of Wealdsmere, Fergus and Renata invite all to come and test their skill and mettle as the Barony choses it’s Champions. 

Heavy, Fencing, Archery, A&S and Bardic Champions will be chosen ere the sun sets.   

To compete for the A&S championship, you must have three different entries.  Documentation is required for the championship contestants.  We will also be holding a populace choice award, so if do not have all three items, please plan on entering the contest.  For more information, please contact Dame Abigail.

The Barony will also be holding classes and activities  geared specially for those gentles who are Newcomers to our Society.

 Above ground firepits and tiki torches allowed.  Pets allowed, but must be kept on leash and cleaned up after.  

Friday night we will be holding a soup kitchen/social at the gate.  Come down, have a bowl of hot soup and meet new folks and renew acquaintances with old friends.     

            

Site has indoor, heated bathrooms and free hot showers.

Site Fees:  Weekend Adult $10.00, 6 – 17 $5.00, under 6 free, Day fee – Adults $5.00,    6 – 17 $3.00, under 6 free.  The $3.00 NMS applies. Please make checks payable to SCA, Inc. Barony of Wealdsmere.

Directions to Site:  From the East:  Make your best way to Spokane, WA, and I-90.  Head west on I-90 to the Highway 2 exit, #277.  Follow signs for Highway 2 West through Airway Heights, and towards Davenport.  Davenport is approximately 30 miles west of Spokane.  The fairgrounds are located on the main street at the far west end of town.  From the West:  Take your best route to WA Highway 2 (this highway runs roughly parallel to I-90).  Proceed east until you reach Davenport, WA.  The fairgrounds are located on the main street as you enter town.
