.It’s Coming! It’s Coming! Start saving your
drachmas now!!! It’s Coming! Get ready to hop on your
magic carpet and fly to our 1001.5 Arabian Nights! Join the
camel caravan to the event on February 24th, 2007 in Glymm
Mere. There will be games, and foods to delight you! There
will be music and dance – of course!!! This is an event
where we want to see the “Chicest Silliest
Sheik”, the most silly “I Dream of Jeanie”
costume and much, much more!!! Don’t be afraid to let
your silly side out! There will be a contest for the best use
of tassels, best tacky turban and more! We may include the
best Arabic insult competition: “may the fleas from a
1,000 camels infest your dog’s bed” and the like!
Keep it clean tho, this is a family event!!! Come for the
day, and stay for the wonderful feast! Be sure to bring your
A&S projects to exhibit. Fighters, this means that gorget
you made or those elbows you made!! Please bring your not yet
completed projects too! We want to see what you are working
on. This is display only – so feel free to show it off!
Also, there will be an “SCA A&S” display as
well. Show off those SCA specific things that are fun! Yes
– I will bring the gold, jewel-encrusted cooler!!! This
is our silly event after all!!! Start now and get your floor
pillows ready, you low tables and exotic fabrics as well!
We’d love to borrow, for draping, any fabrics or saris
anyone would like to lend. Bring your favorite ottoman to sit
on! And ladies, bring your favorite Ottoman too!!! Hahaha!
Come join in the fun! February 24th, 2007 at the Prosperity
Grange Hall on Steamboat Island Road. The grange is located
just across from the fire department. The site will open at
2:00 PM, close at 11:00 PM and be discretely wet. All mundane
laws apply, more info to come.
