Dragons Laire Yule Celebration and Bardic Championship
December 3, 2005. Bainbridge Island, Washington. The Days are
shorter and the nights cold and dark but the Solstice is upon
us friends and so we rejoice! Come share the turning of the
wheel of the seasons and the return of the Suns warmth and
Light with the Barony of Dragon’s Laire and our Yule Feast.
To herald this return we will also be holding our annual
Bardic Championship. Let the songs and music fill the hall
and brighten our spirits with warmth and good will! In
keeping with the season the theme for the competition will be
Yule. Please notice that the deadline for intention to
compete is November 3, 2005. Please contact Her Ladyship
Antonia de Galicia with your submissions at
antoniadg@juno.com. Since the theme of the feast this year
will be Celtic there will be prizes for best Celtic winter
dress, best Celtic adornment and best themed table setting.
To bring the feeling of sharing and warmth the feast will be
pot luck with meat provided by the Barony so please bring
your favorite Celtic dish to share with 15 to 20 people. Come
rejoice with us the turning of the wheel! SITE FEES: $10.00/
Children 12 and under $6.00. Non member surcharge of $5.00
will be in effect so bring proof of membership! Please make
checks payable to SCA Dragon’s Laire. SITE INFO: This is a
DRY SITE, NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES please. Site opens at 8:00
a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. Site is The American Legion
