Barony of Wealdsmere
Spokane, WA

The Barony of Wealdsmere invites you to a day of Tournaments and Feasting. We will be holding our annual Toys for Tots Championships. These include a heavy and fencing tourney, as well as an A&S, Bardic and Games competition. The cost to enter any of the tourneys or contests is a new, unwrapped toy. Also, anyone who is not entering a contest may feel free to donate!

Toys for Tots Heavy Champion Tourney.
The format for this tourney will be a double elimination tourney with no weapon restrictions. We will be utilizing List shield boards. If you have a shield board, please bring it to the tourney, if you do not have one, we will have supplies on hand to create on site.

We will adding this year Toys for Tots Champions in Arts & Sciences, Bardic and Games!

The Arts and Science contest will involve one entry, in any category. Entrants will be judged on Documentation, Authenticity, Presentation, Appearance and Creativity.

The Bardic competition will involve one entry. This can be any type of bardic
performance. (Bardic encompasses all performance arts from acrobatics to zither
playing – it’s NOT just singing!) Period pieces are not necessary, but will earn you extra points. Documentation is not necessary, but will also earn you more points. Documentation can be written or oral (more points for written). Contestants will be judged on appropriateness/periodness (period or period-like), ability, memorization, audience reaction, and familiarity with the chosen form and its history. Also, since the feast is Middle Eastern, you’ll get an extra point for Middle Eastern performances.

The Games Competition will entail the entrants to play a series of period board games.

For those not competing in, we will have Period games, dancing and classes to entertain you. Please check back for a list of classes.

After the days activities are through, join us for a period Middle Eastern Feast. Our Head Cook HL Elaine de Parfondeval is preparing recipes sure to please everyone. If there are dietary concerns, please contact her at edeparfondeval@yahoo.com. Feast is limited to 100, please reserve by October 1 by emailing the autocrat.

Merchants are welcome, but we have limited table space, so get your reservation in early! Please contact autocrat for reservations. There will be no additional merchant fee, just pay normal site fee at gate.
