Norse Laerdam Dag, Sept 6 – 8, 2002
Barony of Blatha an Oir
Longbranch Improvement Center

Have you ever asked yourself what a law speaker does for a village?
What are the duties of the chieftain and how are they picked?
What are the rights and privileges of women in the village?
If you have questions come to the Norse Laerdam Dag and find out about these people and many other aspects of the Viking era life. Some crafts and craft how to information are under development.
We encourage as many period tents to set up a Norse village. For those who prefer, the hall is available for sleeping. Pot luck scheduled for Saturday evening. Site opens 5pm Friday, sorry, conflicts with other groups make this late set up necessary.

Site Fee is $8.00, $4.00 for those under age 12. Family cap $24
Directions: From I-5, take highway 16 west to Bremerton, Go across the Narrows Bridge and through Gig Harbor to the Purdy / Key Peninsula exit. Turn left at the traffic light and go across the Key Peninsula bridge. Follow the road for several miles, and keep going through the towns of Key Center and Home, to the Longbranch Improvement Center. It is a big brown building on the right hand side of the road preceded by a large field. There is a fire station across the street from the site. From the Kitsap or Olympic peninsulas take highway 16 East to the Purdy exit. Turn right at the stoplight and follow the directions above.
