KieranGunn kierangunn@shaw.ca Lionsdale Summer Faire July 12
– 14th, 2002 Fraser Valley Heritage Park in Mission We, the
populace of Lionsdale, want to celebrate the season by
throwing a party of sorts. We would like to invite all of our
friends to join us at this glorious Mission site, and partake
in a variety of activities. We challenge all fighters to come
and fight until you can fight no more. For all of our
non-fighters and artisans, we offer one of the most inspiring
views of the Fraser Valley, as well as the opportunity to
showcase your work to the world. This event will run
simultaneously with the Mission Medieval days on Main Street,
in which the entire street is closed off to allow merchants
and demonstrations (all medieval themed) to showcase
themselves. We hope to be able to allow this to enhance not
only our experience but the local people’s as well. We would
like this event to be a tranquil weekend in which everyone
can participate and enjoy the society we have created. Site
Fee: Adults $5.00, Children $2.00 Site will open 6pm Friday
July 12th and close 4pm Sunday July 14th Contact Kieran Gunn
or Dominiqua Perreira at (604) 556-0887 kierangunn@shaw.ca or
dominiqua@shaw.ca (eb) ————– On the Trans-Canada
Hwy, take the Sumas exit, North. Follow the signs to Mission.
When you are on the Mission / Abbotsford Bridge, prepare to
take the exit that is still on the bridge deck. Follow this
to the right (east, then north), and then it curves around to
the left (west). This road goes over the CPR tracks. When you
get over these, turn right (east) on Lougheed highway. About
a block or two past this turn, there is a traffic light, with
signs to the Fraser Heritage Park pointing left. Turn left
(north), onto Stave Lake Street.. You will then turn right on
5th Avenue, and at the end of 5th is the park. If you are
taking the Lougheed from Vancouver, the left turn onto Stave
Lake is the first light once you get through the business
area of town. I do not know this for a fact, but I think that
Kieran will probably have SCA marker signs out for everyone
to follow, as well. Dougal MacLaomuinn, AoA, Lion’s Claw,
